 Please follow the link above to find past and current meeting records and information about the South Kohala Community Development Plan (CDP) Action Committee and its subcommittees.

 The South Kohala district lies in the northwest sector of the Island of Hawai'i. Neighboring districts North Kohala to the North; Hāmākua to the east; and North Kona to the south. The South Kohala CDP encompasses the towns of Kawaihae, Puakō, Waikoloa, and Waimea.

The County of Hawai'i's South Kohala Community Development Plan is intended to be the forum for translating South Kohala's community input into Policies and Action Plans that shape the future land use of the district and translate broad General Plan statements into specific actions.

Volunteering for a Hawai'i County board offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to the betterment of your community as well as further your education about current events and development in your district.

 The County of Hawai'i Planning Department is seeking qualified applicants for the South Kohala CDP Action Committee. Action Committee members should be community-minded, reflect a wide variety of perspectives, and represent a broad spectrum of the community.
