North Kohala CDP Project AreaThe planning area for the North Kohala Community Development Plan encompasses the North Kohala District. This district is located in the northwest portion of the Island of Hawai'i. The district is bordered by the South Kohala District to the south, and the Hamakua District to the east. The ocean defines the region's north and west borders. The North Kohala CDP must address each element of the County General Plan as the apply to the District of North Kohala. This includes a combination of land-use amendments, policies, budgetary items, public-private partnership building, and community-based implementation activities that are needed to accomplish many kinds of goals. |
