 Aloha Larry,
I did not see this testimony printed with the others. When checking email today I can see that
Ms. O'toole had emailed it to me.
What happened? I realize that you do not have a assistant, still the AC would benefit from
hearing testimonies(all) prior to discussion. This is the public input. How is a matter as this
handled?
hang in there!
Steph

Aloha Mr. Brown and the PCDP Action Committee,

My name is Burna O'Toole and I am a 20 year resident/lot owner in the Hawaiian Acres
subdivision; my husband has owned the lot we live on for over 33 years. It has come to my
attention that your committee has received correspondence from the Hawaiian Acres Community
Association (HACA) regarding connectivity issues and HACA's role in that dialogue.

I would like to go on record that HACA DOES NOT and never has represented me in ANY
matter nor do they have my permission to do so on my behalf. HACA is a PRIVATE CLUB and
one must pay dues to belong to their club. They also do not have the LEGAL AUTHORITY to
represent me or any other lot owner in any matter. I have never been contacted by HACA
regarding the connectivity issue (most likely because I don't belong to their club) or any other
subject, for that matter, seeking my input and suggestions.

In fact, in the past when subjects were requested to be added to HACA monthly board or
committee meeting agendas with which HACA did not agree, the subjects were not allowed to be
added. Where is the open dialogue and community input? HACA seems to have its own agenda
which is often at odds with my desires as a lot owner and resident. As you are well aware, there
are over 3900 lots in Hawaiian Acres. That's a lot of opinions!

I would ask that the PCDP Action Committee receive any input from HACA as communication
from a private group which only (possibly) represents its own membership and nothing more and
does not have the LEGAL AUTHORITY to represent me before this Committee or any other
body.

Mahalo for your time, hard work and dedication to the needs of the Puna District.

Sincerely

Burna Craft O'Toole
