Recommended CDP: April 2017

The Kaʻū Community Development Plan is moving towards adoption!

CDP Outline with Links to Materials

In October 2015, based on public review and comment, the Steering Committee made its final recommendations for CDP revisions and adoption.  The December 2015 Recommended CDP went through agency review in early 2016 and was then under Planning Director review.

In April 2017, the Planning Director is recommending that the CDP be adopted, with some non-substantive changes that clarify and strengthen the plan.  The April 2017 Recommended Ka'u CDP is being forwarded to the County Council for adoption, via the Windward Planning Commission.  The Director's "Background and Recommendations" report to the Planning Commission is forthcoming.

Download sections of the recommended CDP by clicking on the links in the CDP outline below.  To avoid confusion, part of the the Director's recommendation is to refer to all supporting documents as "appendices" (some were previously referred to as "chapters.").  Below, these appendices are numbered differently than in the December 2015 and earlier drafts of the CDP.  Please note that none of the appendices have been updated to reflect the Director's recommendations, including their titles.

For more information on next steps, visit the What's the next step with the CDP page.
